Suspect in custody in Jefferson County aggravated assault

LOUISVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was seeking the public’s help in the search for a man wanted in connection to an aggravated assault case.
Rodriegus Lay, 28, was wanted for aggravated assault after he shot an innocent woman, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 2, around 2:38 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of East Fifth Street in reference to a large fight and shots fired, according to the incident report.
On April 21, the sheriff’s office said that he was in custody.
