October brings fall festivities, Halloween fun throughout the CSRA

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Grab your calendar, October is packed with community, seasonal and Halloween events throughout the CSRA.

Halloween

Spooky Night at Jamestown Elementary

  • Oct. 26 - 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Downtown Washington’s annual Trunk or Treat celebration. Kids can trick or treat at downtown business and there will be costume contests for pets and kids.

  • Oct. 26 - 5 p.m.

Spooky to be Hungry is hosting Trick or Treat event. The organization is asking for people to bring canned good items to help scare away hunger. Enjoy Food vendors, Hay rides, Candy, Games, and more. The event will be located in downtown Harlem.

  • Oct. 26 - 5 to 7 p.m.

Head over to SRP Park for a special screening of Haunted Mansion (2023), there will be trick or treating before the film begins.

South Augusta will host Trunk or Treat on ‘The Lump’ at Bernie Ward Community Center.

  • Oct. 26 - 6 to 8 p.m.

The Wilson Family YMCA is hosting a Halloween Bash with trick-or-treating, a bounce house, a costume contest, a haunted house, and much more.

  • Oct. 27 - 5 to 7 p.m.

The City of Grovetown’s Annual Trunk or Treat at Liberty Park Community Center for a SPOOKTACULAR evening! DJ, Treats, games, hayrides and more.

Georgia-lina Care Management will host its 4th annual Trunk or Treat for free candy kid, games, family fun and food located at 120 Floyd Avenue, in North Augusta. For more information call 803-426-8071.

The Columbia County Halloween Movie Night will show Hotel Transylvania at Gateway Park.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is having a Halloween drive-thru at 400 Walton Way.

Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System will host a showing of Wakanda Forever followed by a costume contest! Call 706-722-6275 to .

The Georgia East Central Public Health District Office will hold a trunk-or-treat event at 1916 North Leg Road. Flu vaccine will also be available.

  • Oct. 28 - 4 to 6 p.m.

Stars and Strikes will host a Trunk or Treat with fun, costumes, candy and more.

  • Oct. 29 - 5 to 8 p.m.

The Augusta Partnership for Children will hold Spookyville with free food, candy zones, face painting, a maze, blessing tables and more at 435 Telfair St.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office will hold a trick-or-treat for kids up to age 12 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the sheriff’s station, 420 Hampton Ave. NE, Aiken

Tootsies Treats Emporium LLC. and AC Productions presents Trunk or Treat for a night of games, fun, food and prizes. Located at 2340 Milledgeville Road in Augusta.

Augusta Fire Department will host Trunk or Treat a free event open to the public at 3117 Deans Bridge Road.

Fall festivities

The 37th annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee will be held in downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue.

The Salvation Army of Augusta will host the annual Fall Festival, a family-friendly event is free and open to the entire community. for a day filled with fun activities, free food, and entertainment. Activities trunk or treat, touch a truck, and spectacular performances by the Air Elite Dunkers, who will showcase amazing basketball tricks.

The 6th Annual Harvest Festival hosted by the Triumphant Family Christian Center will have fall festival games, hay rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, cake walks, food and more.

Spend the evening in downtown Davisboro and enjoy fun with the entire family at the annual fall festival.

Entertainment

Come out to the Augusta Public Library for their Bad Art Night Program, where participants will make art that is uniquely dreadful! This program is best for ages 8 and up. Call 706-821-2627 to . Located at 823 Telfair Street.

Maxwell Library in celebrating Star Wars Reads month with Star Wars Craft Day.

Events with a cause

Augusta Regional Airport is ing Breast Cancer Awareness Month by presenting the Sixth Annual Field of Pink Display. The Airport will sell pink flags for $1. 100% of proceeds go directly to the Piedmont Augusta Foundation’s Miracle Mile Walk.

The Salvation Army of Augusta is organizing a donation drive throughout the month of October. The organization will collect donations of candy and diapers. Candy Donations will be used for Trunk or Treat during the Fall Festival. Diaper Donations will be held for families staying at the Center of Hope shelter. With an average of 20 children staying at the shelter each night, diaper donations of all sizes are crucial to providing to these families. Donations can be dropped off at the Kroc Center or the Center of Hope.
