Legendary actor, comedian Bill Murray stops at Georgetown restaurant
GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WMBF) – A Georgetown restaurant had a legendary actor and comedian try out their menu on Monday night.
Bill Murray stopped by for dinner at Root along Front Street in downtown Georgetown.
“We were super excited to have Bill Murray stop by for dinner tonight,” Root said in a Facebook post. “One of the funniest men on the planet is also one of the coolest!!”
The restaurant told WMBF News that Murray stayed until the restaurant closed and took pictures with the staff and signed autographs for them.
Root said it was an awesome night with Murray.
As for what Murray had, the restaurant said he started with its duck confit sliders and grouper bites, then he went into the restaurant’s chophouse menu and ordered the 12 oz. ribeye.
