Injured South Carolina puppy making great progress
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Finnegan, the 1-month-old puppy who was brought into the Greenville Human Society with his mouth banded shut last week, appears to be in good hands.
Officials with the Humane Society said that after visiting a veterinarian on Friday, Finnegan’s outlook is “very positive.” They say although his jaw is broken on the left side, there is no exposed bone and minimal infection.
Finnegan will wear a soft muzzle for the next two weeks before returning for a checkup visit with the vet.
In even better news, Finnegan is also with a foster home and is “resting comfortably.”
Finnegan’s sister, Fergie, also met with a potential adopter over the weekend.
In a Facebook post, the Greenville Humane Society said, “We just know they’ll fall in love with her as much as we did!”
Officials also expressed their gratitude for everyone’s since they first posted about Finnegan’s condition.
“While Finnegan still has quite a bit of recovery ahead of him, we’re so happy he’ll get to spend it in a loving, comfortable foster home,” they posted.
FOX Carolina is sure to bring you more updates on Finnegan and Fergie as they come in.
