How to pre-order a bobblehead honoring Bulldogs’ late mascot Uga X
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has released a limited-edition bobblehead of Uga X, also known as Que, to honor the late mascot’s life and legacy.
Officially licensed with the University of Georgia (UGA), only 2,023 will be sold, which is in reference to the year Uga X ed his collar on to Uga XI, the school’s current live mascot. The bobblehead depicts the bulldog with his tongue out, wearing his custom jersey. Each one is individually numbered.
“Bobbleheads are the ultimate way to honor and celebrate a person or mascot, and we think this bobblehead of Uga X is the perfect tribute to his amazing life,” the museum’s co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “Uga X is loved throughout the state of Georgia and well beyond by Bulldogs fans, alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community who had the privilege of watching and interacting with the beloved bulldog for many years!”
Uga X died at his home in Savannah on Jan. 23. He represented the school from 2015 to 2023 and was known as UGA’s most decorated mascot, watching over as the Georgia Bulldogs compiled a record of 91-18 and won two SEC titles, among other achievements.
The “Uga” bulldog mascot line was started in 1956 by the Seiler family, who still owns the dogs today.
The bobblehead’s first production run of 500 has already sold out, but the second run of 1,523 is expected to arrive in May. You can pre-order the bobblehead here. They will also be sold at The Red Zone and The Clubhouse in Athens.
