AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 62-year-old man who went missing on Feb. 27, according to authorities.

Authorities say Gerald “Scott” Weathers is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds.

He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies say at 8:14 a.m., they responded to the block of 2100 Ellis St. for a missing person and spoke to Weathers’ brother.

Weathers sent a text message around 1 a.m. on Feb. 28 stating that he would be home shortly, according to the sheriff’s office.

Weathers has not been seen or heard from since. Weathers is known to frequent the stores around the 2000 block of Broad Street and the Rack & Grill on Riverwatch Parkway and Commerce Drive.
