AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The final suspect wanted in “Operation Ghost Busted,” focused on the Ghostface Gangsters gang, has been arrested, according to the FBI.

FBI Atlanta special agents, working with FBI Phoenix special agents and law enforcement partners in Mexico captured fugitive David D. Young on Saturday in Hermosillo, Mexico.

Young was the last fugitive of 76 people indicted in Operation Ghost Busted in January 2023, the largest indictment in Southern District of Georgia history.

The case roughly coincided with Operation Kibosh, focused on Richmond County, in which 77 of the Ghostface Gangsters plus 11 other people were charged. It was Georgia’s largest gang bust ever.

On Dec. 8, 2022, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Young after he was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute a controlled substance.

He has been brought back to the United States.

Young was born in Brunswick and grew up in Jesup.
