GBI charges Columbia County man with sexual exploitation of children

HARLEM, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit arrested and charged a 72-year-old man from Columbia County with five counts of sexual exploitation of children on Thursday.

The investigation into Harold Sinclair’s online activity began after authorities got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the possible online possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the GBI.

The Georgia Cybercrimes Center and Columbia County Sheriff’s Office helped with the search warrant.

Sinclair was booked at the Columbia County Detention Center on April 18, according to inmate bookings.
