Lincoln County lifts restrictions on outdoor watering

LINCOLNTON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Lincoln County on Thursday lifted restrictions it had imposed nearly two weeks ago on outdoor watering.

On these hot days, you may be running the air conditioner non-stop, and that means higher power bills.
The Lincoln County Public Works Utilities Department had said the restrictions were needed because water use had been exceeding what it’s allowed to withdraw under Georgia environmental rules.
Amid heavy rainfall at times in some areas this week, the watering restrictions are being lifted at noon.
No word on the Beech Island Rural Community Water & Sewer District lifting its a similar plan to restrict some water s.
