Georgia State student film picked up by Amazon, Tubi
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Georgia State University student film has made the cut for multiple major streaming services.
“I have never heard of another opportunity like this,” said actress and recent GSU graduate Kathryn Szypulski.
The 90-minute thriller is called “Rejuvenation,” and the 30-member cast and crew are all GSU students.
“Camera operators: students. Editors: students,” Szypulski said. “Every single person here was a student.”
If your snake snuck away in Martinez, here’s where it went
Columbia County Animal Control has corralled a boa constrictor on the loose. Now officers are wondering who it belongs to.

GSU senior Imani Okwuosa plays the lead role.
“It’s about a track star, Trinity, who enrolls herself in a clinic, hoping to get back on her team,” Okwuosa explained. “But encounters something way bigger than herself.”
Szypulski plays the self-described foil.
“Is she sane? Is she crazy?” Szypulski joked.
Maybe the most impressive part of the film is its production value on a micro-budget.
“The whole idea of ‘Rejuvenation’ was to find ways to make movie-making simpler and more creative,” said Executive Producer Tom Luse.

This week will mark one year since a 19-year-old was shot and killed in her home in Wrens. Her mother spoke about the outpouring of ,

Luse is a GSU alumnus with an extensive record of successful credits, including creating the massive zombie hit “The Walking Dead.”
He conceived the project after being asked to come back and teach a class at his alma mater.
“Rather than just teaching a class, I’d rather make something,” he itted.
That was done through GSU’s Creative Media Industries Institute, where props, techniques and production were conceived.
28-year-old dies after accident at Augusta construction site
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating an accidental death that occurred on a construction site last week.

With a low budget, Luse and GSU students reimagined everything from shoulder rigs to lighting to how to shoot moving sequences.
“We could shoot up to 20 mph of our main character running through the city, on a track, or through this building,” Luse said, showing off the studio’s electric bike.
The film was shot for $20,000 and was picked up by Amazon and Tubi streaming services, an achievement Luse says is stunning for a student film.
“It’s the first thing that pops up under ‘Rejuvenation’,” Szypulski said.
“My family in Nigeria, my mom, they can watch it,” Okwuosa added.
An update on fire at Plant Vogtle – and word of an incident days earlier
An “alert” was declared earlier this month at Plant Vogtle, and we're learning more about that, as well as something that sparked a letter to federal officials days earlier.

Now, when these student artists graduate, they hit the market with something few college students have: legitimate filmmaking credits to their name.
As for Luse, he’s mum on if “Rejuvenation 2″ is in the works.
“The movie is set up for a sequel, but we’ll see,” he said.
