28-year-old father dies after accident at Augusta construction site
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating an accidental death that occurred on a construction site.
Adan Cruz-Binzha, 28, of Augusta, was struck by an excavator bucket while at work.
He leaves behind a small son, a wife, parents and siblings, according to organizers of an online fundraising campaign to help the family with expenses.
The accident happened Friday at 2470 Gordon Highway, where a new apartment complex is being built, according to Coroner Mark Bowen.

An investigation is underway in northwest Georgia after authorities said four people – three of them teenagers – were found shot dead in a park.

He was taken to Doctors Hospital of Augusta by emergency medical crews, where he was pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m. Friday, according to Bowen.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health istration was also notified and is investigating, according to Bowen.
