Finding Solutions: Nonprofits come together, find solutions in one another
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Community groups coming together to serve you.
That’s the goal of the Resourced Conference where hundreds of agencies, nonprofit organizations and ultimately what they call “helpers” meet to discuss resources in the area.
On Wednesday, they met for the sixth bi-annual event to find solutions for anyone in need.
About 500 people were in attendance at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion.
Finding Solutions: Local S.C. group sees increase in those in need
Walking Tall Ministries has been around for nearly 10 years providing food, clothes, haircuts, work programs and so much more for free to anyone who needs a hand up.

Those who provide help like legal aid, school counselors social workers, and various non-profits, were all there to speak about the resources they offer.
The executive director of Resourced Network says partnerships are so important because clients won’t know about the resources if the people they’re coming to for help are not aware of what’s out there.
“When we’ve got three or four different agencies coming together to handle something I get so excited,” said Angela Bakos, Executive Director of Resourced Network. “I find it so beautiful when everybody does their part and comes together to help one person. It feels better than just doing it on my own, and this is an opportunity to learn about those partnerships.”
Finding Solutions: Goodwill helps people get dream jobs with free workshops
Goodwill is offering free workshops to prepare people for that next opportunity. There’s no cost to attend a workshop and the knowledge you’ll gain from it is long-lasting.

The event is free for everyone attending, so anyone who wants to network and form partnerships can.
If you are in need of any kind of help, there is a list of all of these organizations and the resources they offer on Resourced Augusta’s Facebook page.
