Augustans can now self-report property damage from Helene

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Augustans can now self-report property damage online following Hurricane Helene, officials announced on Monday.

The Augusta Fire Department, in collaboration with the Augusta-Richmond County Tax Assessor’s Office, is conducting citywide damage assessments.

FEMA opens additional recovery center in Emanuel County

FEMA is opening up an additional disaster recovery center in Emanuel County to help Georgians after Hurricane Helene.

Teams from both departments are assessing damage across the city.

These assessments are not linked to financial assistance programs but are essential for meeting requirements to document the extent of damage.
