18-year-old arrested in June shooting on Monte Carlo Drive
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An 18-year-old has been arrested in relation to a shooting back in June, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandon Alexander Francis was arrested on Tuesday, according to jail bookings.
Francis was identified as the suspect in the shooting that happened on the 3400 block of Monte Carlo Drive, according to deputies.
According to the incident report, around midnight on June 9, deputies responded to a call for shots fired with one subject down.
Burke County Sheriff’s Office makes multiple arrests in major drug bust
Multiple arrests have been made following a five-month-long investigation into illegal narcotics distribution in Burke County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials say they then responded to Monte Carlo Drive and found multiple shell casings in the road in front of the home.
Blood evidence was also found at the incident location, according to the incident report.
Officials say the victim was located inside of a car on Fifth Street at Broad Street.
The victim was transported to Wellstar MCG for treatment, according to the incident report.
Francis is charged with four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm or knife during a crime and possession of a pistol or revolver under 18 which is a felony, according to jail bookings.
Francis is being held in Richmond County jail, according to officials.
