We comb through health scores of local eateries in Columbia, Richmond and Columbia counties.

Here’s what inspectors found.
Live roaches in the kitchen are just one of the violations health inspectors found for this week’s restaurant report.
Health inspectors gave Don Pepe Mexican Grill on Wrightsboro Road in Augusta an 88.
Violations included no sanitizer to clean dishes, a mop improperly stored and live roaches in the main kitchen.
It’s also an 88 for DQ Grill and Chill on Bluegrass Trail in Grovetown.
Health inspectors found dirty floors, dishes stacked while wet and food uncovered.
Georgia Power rates are rising again in just a few days
Georgia Power says money from rate hike will be used to pay for grid improvements, investments in cleaner energy and customer service upgrades.

It’s a 90 for Toasty on Wheeler Road in Augusta for dishes in the hand-washing sink, no date on bacon and unlabeled bins.
As usual, we have a lot of 100s.
Baby Jo’s on Winfield Road in Appling, Hunan Cafe on Furys Ferry Road in Evans and New China on Washington Road in Evans.
Jimmy John’s on Washington Road in Evans, Culver’s on Gateway Boulevard in Grovetown, Arby’s on Washington Road in Martinez, Salsa’s Bar and Grill on Bobby Jones Expressway in Martinez, Taco Bell on Husk Box Way in Grovetown, Skinny Taco on Pullman Circle in Augusta and McDonald’s on Richland Avenue West in Aiken.
This week’s scores are for Dec. 9-13 and are based on the day the health inspector went to that particular restaurant.
