Aiken 2-year-old dies in tragic accident with off-road-vehicle
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A crash involving an off-road vehicle left an Aiken 2-year-old dead Saturday night in Horry County.
Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said the child fell from the Can-Am side-by-side utility vehicle and then was hit by the vehicle.
The child was identified as Ellieana Mishoe, according to Willard.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said just after 5:15 p.m., the vehicle was traveling north on Bay View Drive when the 2-year-old fell into the roadway and was hit by the vehicle.
Another 2-year-old and two adults were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash, authorities said.
The other engers in the vehicle all survived.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
