WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Donald Trump is officially the 47th President of the United States. On a cold day in Washington, DC that forced proceedings indoors, President Trump took part in a more traditional Inauguration Day than we saw four years ago.

It was a whirlwind day for the president. After staying the evening at Blair House across the street from the White House, President Trump beginning the historic day at St. John’s Episcopal Church nearby.

Following the visit, Trump’s motorcade making its way to Capitol Hill, becoming the 47th President and the first to serve nonconsecutive in more than a century.

“I return to the presidency confident and optimistic that we are at the start of a thrilling new era of national success,” said President Trump during his address.

The president then moved onto action, pledging to sign executive orders ranging from immigration crackdowns to DEI initiative rollbacks, to energy policy, to short term relief for TikTok after the popular social media app went dark over the weekend.

“With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense,” said President Trump.

Later in the day, the president spoke to ers at the Capitol One Arena, thousands who were hoping to see the inauguration from the National Mall but were moved inside because of frigid temperatures.

President Trump was expected to end the day in traditional fashion attending multiple Inaugural Balls.
