AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - High pressure will build in the next few days. We return to sunshine with warmer highs and nights above freezing. Breezy today and Wednesday with gusts 20-25 mph. Next front brings rain Friday.

Today will be seasonal and beautiful with sunshine and a steady breeze. Afternoon highs will top out near 60 and wind will be out of the west between 10-15 mph.

High pressure will be centered west of the region Wednesday with low pressure to our north. This will create a tighter pressure gradient and lead to breezier conditions Wednesday. Winds Wednesday will be out of the west between 12-18 mph with gusts near 25 mph. Afternoon highs will be warmer in the upper 60s.

Warmer than normal temperatures stick around Thursday and Friday. Highs Thursday will be in the mid to upper 60s. Highs will increase to the low 70s by Friday as our next front moves into the region. Rain does look likely late in the day Friday into Friday night as the front es through. We should be back to dry weather for the weekend.
