‘We’re thankful’: Marco’s Pizza donates to Augusta Fire Department
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - For Valentine’s Day, Marco’s Pizza, located on Windsor Spring Road, donated free pizza to Augusta firefighters.
The store says it’s a good way to give back to the community.
All fire departments across Augusta were given pizza.
Team Rubicon honored for Hurricane Helene cleanup efforts
On Thursday, local organizations came together for a dinner recognizing Team Rubicon for helping clean up after Hurricane Helene.

“The citizens of Augusta donate nonstop, every single day to the fire department. A lot of those donations go unnoticed, because we’re not able to publicize every single thing, but we’re definitely thankful for anything that is being donated to our firefighters as they’re working out there tirelessly in our community,” said Public Information Officer Chiquita Richardson.
The pizzas were picked up between 12-12:30 p.m. on Friday.
Augusta Fire Department Batalian Chiefs lined up to receive the donations and distributed them to each station.
If you want to donate to a fire department, you can always go to a station.
