Finding Solutions: Local organizations bring Broadway to seniors
Two foundations are now offering tickets to local seniors who would like to see a Broadway show at The Columbia County Performing Arts Center.

Georgia DNR is encouraging you to donate to their Wildlife Conservation fund by checking a box and filling out a line on your tax return.
“It is an option where you can donate directly to us. So, we are a section directly in the wildlife rescores division of the Department of Natural Resources and we focus on rare and threatened and endangered species,” said Elliott.
By choosing to donate a portion of your tax returns, you can help Georgia DNR protect endangered animals like sea turtles, right whales and bald eagles.
Father-Daughter Duo Gives back to those in need with ‘Sneakerella’ Ball
Some people wear their hearts on their sleeves. Lexington father Steven Morris and his 12-year-old daughter, Stevie, wear theirs on their feet.

The option to donate to Georgia DNR through your tax return has been going on since 1989.
“The check off has gone up and down and lately it has trended up significantly. Last year was 505,000 and we’re not really sure why that is. It is a pleasant surprise and it’s something that we really appreciate. We do rely on it a good bit. That is a pretty significant chunk of our spending,” said Elliott.
The Wildlife Conservation hopes for another sucessful year with your donations.
