Man injured in latest shooting on Hickman Road
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Augusta on Wednesday evening.
Deputies say around 6:35 p.m., they responded to the 800 block of Hickman Road in reference to shots fired with one person down.
While on scene, deputies say they learned two unknown males began shooting at the victim, who was struck at least once.
Deputies respond to false report of active shooter at T.W. Josey
Law enforcement responded to an Augusta high school after reports of an active shooter on Wednesday afternoon.
The two male shooters fled the scene before deputies arrived.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Investigators were on the scene as of 7:30 p.m., and there is no additional information available at this time.
