Daily forecast | From First Alert Meteorologist Tim Strong
Warm afternoons this week. Chance of rain returns midweek.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Warmer than average weather will continue for the week into the weekend. The next chance of rain in the Augusta area will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, when a weak cold front brings a small chance of rain to our region. Another frontal system may move into the area next weekend, bringing the possibility for another chance of rain.
Today’s forecast is a carbon copy of Sunday with partly sunny skies, highs in the middle 80s and winds from the southwest at 6 to 11 mph.
Isolated showers are possible Tuesday and increase Wednesday, but the next best chance of widespread measurable rainfall will come Thursday. We are not tracking a severe threat with these pop-up showers, but we could have a few rumbles of thunder throughout the week.
Expect afternoon highs to be in the middle and upper 80s throughout the work week and into next weekend!
