WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President Donald Trump is honoring the late Pope Francis at the White House Easter egg roll.

The president signed an executive order Monday morning to lower all flags to half-staff.

He says he’s ing the pope for how much he loved the world. Washington correspondent Molly Martinez asked President Trump about how he re Pope Francis.

“He’s a very good man, who loved the world”

President Donald Trump, hopping out of official egg roll duties to acknowledge the ing of Pope Francis.

The president agreeing that the pope was comionate toward migrants, “yah, yah, I do, I do.”

The pope’s ing wasn’t the only topic of conversation on the south lawn.

This year, the American Egg Board, who supplied the 2,500 eggs for the roll, caught flack for what some viewed as wastefulness during an egg crisis.

Emily Metz is the current President of the American Egg Board, “we buy and sell and consume about 9 million dozen eggs a day, and we’re using 25 hundred dozen today. They’re small and not going to intro retail stores.”

A confluence of bird flu and market uncertainty has scrambled poultry product prices.

According to Department of Agriculture data, right now a dozen eggs costs about $3.13. That’s down from $6.23 cents a month ago.
