Mayor Briton Williams will keep his seat, other North Augusta election results

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The unofficial results from North Augusta’s Municipal Elections have come in.

Incumbent mayor Briton Williams won with 1,329 votes, but there was more than 700 write-ins.

Incumbent Pat Carpenter kept her seat on city council, with newcomers Dennis Briatico, Robert Freitas, and John Felak ing her.

Business recovery center to close soon in Richmond County

Recovery from Hurricane Helene is still felt across the CSRA, but the Small Business istration is closing its business recovery center in Richmond County.

Mayor Pro Tempore Jenafer McCauley fell short of re-election, ending the night with 1,213 votes and David McGhee did not run for re-election.

The results from this election will be certified on May 1 during certification hearings.
