POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - One juvenile died and two others were hospitalized after they were stabbed during a fight outside a Zaxby’s in Powder Springs on Sunday evening, according to police.

Powder Springs police said they’ve arrested a 17-year-old suspect and another juvenile in connection with the deadly incident.

Around 6:30 p.m., police responded to a fight in progress in the parking lot of the Kroger at 4400 Brownsville Road.

When they arrived, officers found a crowd of mostly juveniles at the front door of the Zaxby’s at 4410 Brownsville Road, in the same shopping center as the Kroger.

Officers said three boys were stabbed during the fight. They were taken to nearby hospitals, where one of the boys, identified as William Renfro of Dallas, died of his injuries.

Investigators found that the group went to the shopping center specifically to fight, police said.

Markevon Williams, 17, of Powder Springs, and another juvenile, whose name wasn’t released, were arrested and “charged with various crimes” including murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
