Undocumented immigrant pleads not guilty in Ga. killing
ATLANTA, Ga. - A 21-year-old undocumented immigrant accused of killing a Marietta woman has pleaded not guilty, according to Cobb County Superior Court records.
Hector David Sagastume Rivas is facing charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, rape, aggravated sexual battery and necrophilia in connection with the death of Camilia Williams, 52.
Rivas entered his not guilty plea on Monday and waived his arraignment, according to court documents.

Williams was found dead on Pat Mell Road on March 13.
According to arrest warrants, Rivas allegedly choked Williams and put his knees and full body weight on her neck, killing her.
Rivas is from Honduras and has been in the United States since March 2021, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Williams’ family said she was a mother to five children and the only family member to live in metro Atlanta. She was originally from Louisiana.
In a statement on X in March, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Rivas “should have never been in our country in the first place,” and she and President Donald Trump were “putting the safety of Americans FIRST.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called the slaying “horrific” at a news conference in April and said it reflected the Biden istration’s lax border enforcement policies.
Williams was a mother and grandmother whose family said she had moved to metro Atlanta from Louisiana.
