COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A bill criminalizing “revenge porn” in South Carolina is heading to Gov. Henry McMaster’s desk.

The South Carolina House of Representatives ed H.3049 on Wednesday, which would create a criminal charge for “intentionally disseminating intimate images or digitally forged intimate images without effective consent.”

If signed, it would make South Carolina the final state to have a law on the books targeting revenge porn.

A similar bill allowing victims of revenge porn to sue the person who distributed the photos of them ed the House earlier this month. It was referred to the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
