Driver rescued in Saluda County after large tree falls on car

SALUDA, S.C. - One person in Saluda County is recovering after a tree fell on their car.
According to the Saluda County Fire Service, large trees in the county were uprooted due to heavy rainfall in recent days.
This led to several calls for service, including a rescue from a car trapped under one of these trees.

A motorcyclist died after an incident on U.S. Highway 25 near Sweetwater Road, South Carolina Highway Patrol says.

Officials say the patient had to be tunneled from the wreckage, but is expected to recover.
One firefighter was also treated on the scene for minor injuries.
