WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Congress is in recess for the Memorial Day Holiday this week.
Before the break, the House of Representatives ed President Donald Trump’s budget he’s nicknamed “one big, beautiful bill.” It heads to the Senate when Congress returns from its recess.
The president returns to the nation’s capital on Monday to honor fallen soldiers by participating in the annual Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
On Wednesday, the Scripps National Spelling Bee kicks off with 243 elementary and middle school students competing in the 100th competition at the National Harbor in Maryland.
On Thursday, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy hosts the “Great American Road Trip Expo,” showing off some of the best American-manufactured road vehicles including cars, minivans and RVs.
