USCA baseball begins Gorman Era

Aiken, SC. (WRDW/WAGT) - After the exit of longtime head coach Michael Holder, the Pacers are now under the direction of Keith Gorman.
Gorman comes from Barton College and the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas.
This is no surprise.
Current athletic director Todd Wilkinson hired Gorman at Barton in 2019. Wilkinson, the former Bulldogs baseball coach left at the end of 2022 to work with the Pacers athletic department.
Gorman didn’t take long to turn a below .500 program in his first official season into a three year-run in 2023 of 30 or more wins. In 2024, Barton baseball started 11-0, the longest win streak in Bulldog history. It put them in the top 10 of the NCAA DII Southeast Regional poll for 15 weeks.
The Bulldogs finished 31-22 this year.
Gorman takes over a program that went 23-29, finishing 11-16 in conference play.
