21-year-old killed in McDuffie County crash
One person is dead after a single vehicle crash in McDuffie County.

“So it takes several months of planning to do this. So when all of it comes to fruition and you’re able to see the the looks on their faces when they walk into this beautiful home that all these volunteers have spent so much time working on and planning to give this to them, it’s an amazing feeling and it’s that’s why we do it,” said Mark Coffman, lead logistics coordinator, A Soldier’s Journey Home.
The nonprofit started after 911 as a way for New York firefighters to give back.
Mathis’s home is the 11th home the group has built.
