Russian President promises to respond to Ukraine’s surprise drone attack
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President Trump spoke by phone Wednesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the ongoing war in Ukraine. Gray Television’s White House Correspondent Jon Decker has the story.
President Donald Trump had a lengthy conversation by phone Wednesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin – discussing two ongoing global hot spots.
According to the social media post, Putin told the President that Russia will have to respond to Ukraines’s recent drone attack on Russia’s airfields, in which Ukraine took out dozens of Russian military jets.
On Iran, Trump said that time is running out on Iran’s decision pertaining to nuclear weapons, which in his words “must be made quickly!”
President Trump also writing that he and Putin were in agreement that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
The President is also expected to speak by phone this week with Chinese President Xi Jinping. That conversation is aimed at getting trade talks between both countries back on track. Thursday, President Trump hosts ’s new chancellor Friedrich Merz.
