Federal immigration agents arrest 12 at nail salon in Georgia
MARIETTA, Ga. - Federal agents escorted at least a dozen individuals out of a nail salon in Marietta as part of a nationwide effort to conduct about 3,000 immigration arrests each day.
Homeland Security Investigations Atlanta posted a video on X, writing that its agents arrested 12 undocumented workers at Luxx Nail Lounge in Marietta.

Thousands of undocumented immigrants have been detained in Georgia since January as immigration enforcement efforts continue, according to Homeland Security Investigations Atlanta.

“Seeing six of my neighbors look downtrodden and being led out at once turned my stomach,” said a man named Angel who saw the arrests Wednesday. “It ruined my day.”
He said he was unsure what was happening at first. Then he took a closer look at the vests worn by the federal agents.

“I don’t see how raiding this business that serves this community is doing anything but hurting our community,” Angel said.
Tom Homan, President Donald Trump’s “border czar,” has doubled down, saying there is no sanctuary in the U.S. for people who come here illegally.
“It’s a violation of law to enter this country illegally. That’s a crime,” he said.
Homan said he wants to see an even higher number of arrests nationwide.

James Woo with Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta encourages families to have a preparedness plan.
