SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (Gray News) – Authorities in Ohio are looking for a thief in unusual attire.

The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call Sunday from an employee at a Dollar General located at 16 Brouse Run West Portsmouth around 7 a.m.

The employee said that he came to work that morning and found someone had broken into the business by shattering the front glass on the door.

When deputies and officers arrived at the store, they said they saw a trail of blood as well as a trail of women’s underwear that had been taken from the store. The trail of underwear led away from the business.

The sheriff’s office said surveillance cameras caught a man wearing nothing but what appeared to be white underwear or panties and a cape breaking into the store.

The suspect busted through the front door glass before walking straight to the female clothing section and grabbing several packs of panties and bras.

Officials said the suspect then left the store on foot, leaving a trail of bras and panties away from the store toward the roadway.

Detectives recovered some evidence from the scene and sent it in for testing.

Anyone who may have information on the suspect involved is asked to call Detective Sgt. Jodi Conkel at 740-352-1091.
