WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President Donald Trump fired back Thursday at Elon Musk after Musk disparaged the President’s “big, beautiful bill.” Gray Media’s White House Correspondent Jon Decker asked the President the question that is making news all over the country.

In respondent to Jon Decker’s question, the President said he’s, “very disappointed in Elon Musk”

The billionaire who owns SpaceX, Tesla, and social media platform X (Twitter) has been at Trump’s side since last summer.

Just days ago, Elon Musk on X called the President’s bill a “disgusting abomination” that it would “massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit”.

As Musk continued to post on his social media platform X, Jon Decker asked the President about that criticism during his bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

JON DECKER: “Thank you, Mr. President. The criticism that I’ve seen, and I’m sure you’ve seen regarding Elon Musk and your big beautiful bill, what’s your reaction to that? Do you think it in any way hurts age in the Senate, which is of course what you are seeking?”

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: “Well, look, you know, I’ve always liked Elon and it’s I was very surprised you saw the words he had for me, the words super. And he hasn’t said anything about me. That’s bad. I’d rather have him criticize me than the bill because the bill is incredible... And you know, Elon’s upset because we took the EV mandate and, you know, which was a lot of money for electric vehicles. And, you know, they’re having a hard time. The electric vehicles...But I’m very disappointed in Elon. I’ve helped Elon a lot.”

Elon Musk spent more than $250 million backing Trump’s 2024 Presidential campaign. He’s fired back on X, writing, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election.”

The two men continued their war of words on social media, with President Trump now threatening to pull all of Musk’s federal contracts and Musk threatening to reveal potentially salacious information about Trump.

On Capitol Hill, Republican senators are struggling to shore up for the so-called “big beautiful bill,” with at least one senator, Rand Paul of Kentucky, adamantly refusing to vote for it.
