Evans 16-year-old donates music therapy cart to Children’s Health Care of Atlanta
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An Evans 16-year-old donated a music therapy cart to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Taylor Brown was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a rare blood disorder, and this week marks the fourth anniversary of her bone marrow transplant.

During treatment, Brown said music became a distraction and a source of healing.
brown was so inspired by the Music Therapy program at Children’s that her dad bought her a guitar of her own, and the rest is history.
With the help of Make-A-Wish Georgia, she donated a specially designed music therapy cart that will allow kids to create music of their own.
“I wanted to use the opportunity I’d been given (through Make-A-Wish Georgia) to help other children going through the same hardships,” said Taylor Brown.
This week, on the fourth anniversary of her bone marrow transplant, Brown visited Arthur M. Blank Hospital for a special delivery that will bring hope and joy to other kids like her.
With the help of Make-A-Wish Georgia, Brown donated a specially designed music therapy cart that will give kids in treatment the tools they need to create music of their own.
The visit was also highly appreciated by the music therapy team that ed Brown on her visit.
“The music therapy team at Children’s relies entirely on donor , covering everything from instruments to therapists’ salaries,” said Cassi Crouse, Lead Music Therapist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “Taylor’s music cart and her incredible wish to give back will have a powerful impact on our program by offering essential creative outlets for our patients throughout their hospital stays.”
