COLUMBIA, S.C. - A third arrest has been made in connection with a deadly shooting at an Airbnb in Columbia last week.

The city’s police department said Tuesday that 18-year-old Asyia Bellamy is charged with accessory after the fact.

June James was arrested on Tuesday without incident and charged with felony murder, according to investigators.

More details on Bellamy’s alleged role in the Friday incident on Lincoln Street were not made immediately available.

The Columbia Police Department also said a 15-year-old suspect remains wanted as of Tuesday evening for murder, armed robbery, three counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18.

Bellamy’s arrest comes two days after D announced the arrest of 18-year-old Latrell Hughey, who’s charged with murder, armed robbery, three counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and criminal conspiracy.

A second 15-year-old suspect was also arrested and charged with kidnapping, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18.

The arrests and charges are linked to a June 6 incident on the 2400 block of Lincoln Street that was initially reported as a car break-in before turning to shots fired. An additional call then came in reporting the shooting had turned deadly.

Police said four people in total were shot, with authorities later confirming 18-year-old Jayden Brackins died as a result of the incident.

The other three victims, a 17-year-old and two 18-year-olds, were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition, according to D.

The shooting was said to be at home, being used as an Airbnb amid a gathering of “young adults.”

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook described the scene as a “war zone,” as police arrived to smoke and the smell of gunpowder.

“The level of destruction caused by the gunfire was just indescribable,” he said.

D says crime scene investigators recovered over 30 shell casings from multiple weapons, including an assault-style rifle.

They also detained several people who were not injured but present outside and inside the residence during the shooting.

Holbrook said Sunday that they’ve alerted the owner of the Airbnb of their intent to declare the property a public nuisance.

Police say the shooting remains under investigation, and additional charges and arrests in the case are anticipated.
