Debra Alfarone is an Edward R. Murrow and Emmy award-winning National TV Correspondent for Gray Television and Lead Anchor for Local News Live, Gray’s 24-hour digital national news network. As National Correspondent, Debra tells inspiring and uplifting stories for her series, "The Good Side." 3n4z3b

Prior to ing Gray in 2023, Debra informed the nation from the White House and the U.S. Capitol for CBS News and CBS Newspath for 3 years. She also anchored the CBS News Streaming Network from the station’s New York headquarters and provided news updates for CBS News Radio. She was reporting live at the Capitol on the day of the January 6th riot, covered the 2020 election extensively, and was live for all CBS s the night Russia invaded Ukraine.

Before ing CBS News, Debra anchored for the CBS in Washington, D.C., WUSA9 and reported for PIX 11 in New York City, and NBC Connecticut in Hartford. CT.

Debra has interviewed countless newsmakers, politicians, celebrities, and everyday people doing extraordinary things. She’s also the founder of Debra Alfarone Media, where she coaches journalists, speakers, entrepreneurs, and anyone with a mission and a message to be powerful on camera and in life.

In 2022, Debra launched a successful podcast to pour her life lessons into the next generation of changemakers.

Debra travels the country, sharing her message of inspiration with the journalism community and beyond. Debra connects through her own personal story of going from one-time high school dropout to reporting from the most powerful address in the world. She knows that if she can do it, you can too.
