Zayna Haliburton

Zayna Haliburton is the anchor for News 12 at 6 O'Clock. She has been a part of the News 12 team since June 2020 and has been working in news since 2018. Zayna was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated with honors from Cameron University with a degree in Journalism and Media Production in 2018. 5z5r2d

During the spring of her last semester, she accepted an internship at the news station KSWO in her hometown. Zayna worked there for two years as a weekend morning anchor/reporter before moving to Augusta.

Zayna started working at News 12 as an anchor/producer in June 2020 before eventually adding reporter to her title. She eventually made her way back to a morning role, serving as the News 12 This Morning co-anchor/Midday anchor. Throughout this time, she was able to help kick-start Morning Mix in April of 2022. She was a co-host of the lifestyle show that highlights all things local to the CSRA.

To this day, Zayna has been able to report on stories throughout the CSRA. Most notably, ‘Miracle Monday’, where she shares monthly patient stories about the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. She has also been able to report live from the hospital during the annual iHeart Media Cares for Kids Radiothon.

Throughout Zayna's time here in Georgia, she has volunteered at various events such as the annual "I'm With the Band" event that s the Burn Foundation of America, The Unite in the Fight Against Cancer Walk, and also various speaking engagements across schools and universities where she shares her ion of news with students.

She spends her free time at various parks in the area with her dog Remy, as well as trying new restaurants in town.
